29.07.07 New Range of Promo Caps
New range added this week and is featured on the home page of the site. They're proving popular, just like the site with over 1500 visitors in the last month, evenm while the sites are still being built.

24.07.07 New Home Pages for the Fresh Network
The Fresh Promotions IT Department has been busy writing a complicated series of new scripts and functionality to finally complete the new network management systems. As all our new sites are built on open source software (php the process is a complex one. Nothing we use here is out ofthe box - it's all unique code to ensure our sites are the fastest and the easiest to navigate on the web.

Not only is Fresh Australia's number one promotional products business on-line but our core business is Marketing and Promotions solutions. Like the plumer with the leaking tap in his bathroom we never seem to have time to get our own sites right with the volume of work which keeps coming in every day for web developement and design.

8.07.07 Amusing On-Line Marketing Phenomena
The internet is a haven for get rich quick scams. We've collected a few different rackets which have worked well in the past few years. There are lessons to be learned from each of them. The common theme between them all if the fact that they actually produce income out of nothing and ave succeeded by including an element of intrigue, thus attracting attention and web links from other sites.

1. Saving Toby the Rabbit
James Mceahly (if that really is his name) alleges he found Toby the fluffy bunny rabbit lying wounded outside his front door. Showing amazing commitment to the creature's well being he nursed Toby back to health with no concern for the cost. Then, in a strange turn of events, Mceahly claimed that, if US$50,000 was not forthcoming from internet citizens Toby would be slaughtered and served up for dinner. The website requested donations (ransom?) and you could buy "Save Toby The Rabbit" branded merchandise. (Unfortunately we missed out on that contract). The original deadline for Toby's cruel fate was June 30th 2005. In an act of apparent mercy the deadline passed and was extended to November 6th, 2006. As is usually the case with blackmailers/extortionists the demands rose in line with the fear we all held for Toby's safety. The demand changed to a demand that 100,000 copies of the mighty novel "Save Toby" be purchased by lovers of quality literature. In a last minute deal the owners of bored.com bought the website and Toby the Fluffy Bunny Rabbit was saved.

The website reported over $28,000 USD in donations as of 27 June 2005.

Snopes.com, a site which sniffs out urban legends and dubious folk tales indicated that the website was a hoax. According to Snopes.com, the home page of savetoby.com features a fixed graphic that updates periodically to give the appearance that people are actually donating cash. Clicking on the "donate" button reveals that the "Save Toby" account can not receive money since PayPal closed it down.

Hoax or not, SaveToby.com probably made a heap of money with one simple and amusing, yet unethical idea.

8.06.07 Traffic Bulding On Fresh Network Sites

26.03.07 Welcome to the Fresh Promotional Marketing Network
Over the next twelve months you'll see Australia's largest promotional products network develop. Our preliminary promotional products site www.freshpromotions.com.au has been extremely successful, and armed wth the feedback given to us from our clients and visitors to the site we have begun to develop and network which will offer the broadest range of product and useful information available in Australia.

4.05.07 Building Australia's Biggest On-Line Marketing and Promotions Resource
As one of the fortunate early visitors to the new Fresh Promotional Products Network you are seeing the sites as they develop. Within a day of our websites being launched we recorded our first sale, a charming lady from a high school who bought 150 Maraca Keyrings for a school excursion.

We have a full time designer working on all 28 new sites building additional software functions and adding promotional products. Within the next 6 weeks the major work will be complete and all 8000 products which are currently visible will be shown with full pricing and features. When this happens we will begin to optimise the sites so their search engine rankings rise.
